This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the School collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “Student”) of the School. This Privacy Policy applies to the School and all Courses offered by the School.
Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Students in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Students enroll in the School or a Course within the School, subscribe to a newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available in our School. Students may visit the School anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Students only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Students can refuse to supply personal identification information but doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain School related activities.
How we use collected information
The School may collect and use Students’ personal identification information for the following purposes:

Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently. -
To personalize user experience
We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Students as a group use the services and resources provided in our School. -
To send periodic emails
We may use Student email addresses to send Students information and updates pertaining to their order. Student email addresses may also be used to respond to Student inquiries, questions, or other requests.
Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent Student personal identification information to others.
Third party websites
Student may find advertising or other content in our School that link to the websites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these websites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our School. In addition, these websites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These websites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Student, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
The School has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage Students to frequently check this page for any changes. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
Your acceptance of these terms
By enrolling in the School, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not enroll in the School. Your continued enrollment in the School following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Welcome to NoticeAbility! NoticeAbility, Inc. (“NoticeAbility,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization that creates strength-based curricula through which students with dyslexia are empowered to reach their academic and personal potential. NoticeAbility provides access to online course content at workshop.noticeability.org as a component of and supplement to our in-person group trainings and additional information about our organization through our website at www.noticeability.org (such content and sites collectively, including any new features or related applications, the “Service”). We also provide professional development and capacity building to individuals who work with the dyslexic population and provide access to NoticeAbility’s curricula to those who have completed our certification training.
This Privacy Policy is designed to tell you about how we collect, use and disclose information, including Personally Identifiable Data (as defined below), from visitors to and registered users of the Service. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If you are accessing the Service in connection with your participation in a program at your school or educational institution and are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if different) (a “student”), your parent or guardian must consent to your use of the Service and NoticeAbility’s collection of Personally Identifiable Data and other personal information from you before you sign up to use the Service. Please see the section below titled “For Students and Their Parents or Guardians.”
Please be sure to read this entire Privacy Policy before using the Service or submitting any information to us through the Service. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into NoticeAbility’s Terms of Service.
For Students and Their Parents or Guardians:
A student may register as a user of the Service after we have obtained parental consent for the student’s use of the Service.
For each prospective user that is a student, we collect the email address of the student’s parent or guardian from the student’s school or other educational institution so that we may give the parent or guardian notice of our information collection, use and sharing practices and obtain consent for the student’s use of the Services. We do not knowingly save or store any information submitted by or collected from a student until we have obtained consent from the student’s parent or guardian.
In our follow-up communication with parents and guardians, we provide via email a link to this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which describes the types of information we collect from our users and how we use, store and share such information. We also provide information on how a parent or guardian can give consent for the collection, use and disclosure of a student’s personal information (as defined by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
Once a parent or guardian provides consent for a student’s use of the Service and NoticeAbility’s collection of Personally Identifiable Data and other personal information from the student, the student may complete the student registration form for the Service, through which we collect the following information: the first two letters of the first name, the first two letters of the last name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, zip code, school and grade information, whether English is the student’s first language and whether the student identifies as an individual with dyslexia. This registration information will not be publicly viewable by other users of the Service, but we may share this information with the student’s school and third parties as disclosed in the section titled “How We May Share Your Information” below. We also collect information from students regarding progress through any courses taken through the Service and performance on any quizzes or other assessments made available through the Service, in addition to the same types of information we collect from other users as described in this Privacy Policy.
A parent or guardian may review a student’s Personally Identifiable Data and other personal information collected by or through the Service at any time and request the deletion of such information or stop the collection of further information from the student by contacting us at [email protected]. We do not disclose a student’s Personally Identifiable Data or other personal information to third parties except as described in this Policy.
Information We Collect:
Personally Identifiable Data. “Personally Identifiable Data” means information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to readily identify or contact you, such as your name, email address or mailing address, or other information about you that is directly linked to Personally Identifiable Data.
Usage Data. “Usage Data” means certain information that we or our third-party service providers may collect through a variety of technologies, such as cookies and web beacons (as described below), that may automatically or passively collect information when you visit or interact with the Service. Usage Data may include, but is not limited to, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, time spent on the Service, the type of browser, device or operating system you use or the URL that referred you to the Service.
If we associate Usage Data with your Personally Identifiable Data, we will treat the combined information as Personally Identifiable Data.
