NoticeAbility Instructor Training
Everything you need to know to teach NoticeAbility's curricula
NoticeAbility’s instructor training offers teachers a neuroscientific explanation of dyslexia and the opportunity to explore our curricula which highlights the strengths of dyslexic students. Participants experience a perceptual shift from a deficit view of dyslexia as a disability to an understanding of dyslexia as a learning difference with associated skills and advantages. Participants are encouraged to embrace the importance of supporting dyslexic students’ social-emotional learning and executive functioning and to explore the pedagogical methods that NoticeAbility’s curricula incorporate in promotion of these outcomes.
This 1.25 hour online training prepares instructors to deliver NoticeAbility's curricula in their classroom, homeschool, or tutor practice. This is a necessary step prior to delivering our curricula.
The learning objectives of this training:
1) Identify the cognitive advantages associated with dyslexia.
2) Explore the nuances of our project-based approach.
3.) Understand the connection between social-emotional learning and student performance.
4.) Explore the connection between our online learning content (for students) and your role as a facilitator.
